Police said two people fell to their deaths after an accident on an interstate on-ramp in the Valley on Saturday morning.

A man and woman were killed in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning, after their motorcycle hit a concrete barrier on Interstate 10 and they plunged over the side of an overpass, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The male driver lost control of the motorcycle as he drove onto the westbound I-10 transition ramp to northbound Interstate 17.

The motorcycle struck the concrete wall about 4:23 a.m., catapulting the riders over the ramp. They fell 50 feet and landed on gravel near the McDowell Road exit ramp and were found dead by law enforcement officials.
