A 12-year-old, later identified as Stephanie Quinonez, and 16-year-old, later identified as Shiely Quinonez, were riding an ATV near 36th and Minnezona avenues, said Sgt. Steve Martos, spokesman for the Phoenix Police Department.
The girls were trying to take a photo when the ATV they were riding on collided with a parked vehicle, Martos said.
Both girls were transported to the hospital, Martos said. The 12-year-old was treated and released. The 16-year-old remained in critical condition Sunday morning.
