Driver arrested in 3-vehicle crash that left 1 dead

Police said they suspect the driver of the pickup truck, identified as Randall Nelson,. 26,  was impaired, ran a red light and T-boned the car, which was heading north on 28th Drive.

The driver of the car was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead, Phoenix Police Lt. Paul Taylor said.

The driver of the car, Trista Jaquez, died at the hospital.

Her passenger, a 23-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Court documents said she suffered broken ribs and had a spleen removed.
