Fatal Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Crash in Prescott Valley

There was a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Prescott Valley Christmas night. Prescott Valley Police say just before midnight officers responded to a report of a man walking in the roadway on Glassford Hill Road and jumping in front of vehicles. While enroute, they received another call that the man had been hit by a vehicle and a female pedestrian had also been struck by a different vehicle.

A 38-year-old man was in the street, walking in the lane closest to the curb, when he was struck by a vehicle, according to police. The vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old woman, went into the median. The driver's sister got out to help the man. She was then hit by a vehicle, whose driver told police he was trying to avoid the man in the road.

Pedestrian killed in Prescott Valley was retired Army Ranger

The pedestrian was identified as 38-year-old Samuel Robles of Prescott Valley. He had recently retired as a first sergeant and relocated to Yavapai County.
