Yavapai County authorities say a car swerved and crashed into a power pole when the driver got distracted by a flying insect that entered her car through an open window.

A 17-year-old was driving a car in the village of Oak Creek when a flying insect entered the vehicle through an open window. The insect distracted the driver, and she swerved and crashed the car into a power pole. She was not injured in the crash. Utility crews repaired the pole to restore electricity service to the area.
