2 dead in wrong-way vehicle collision in Surprise

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say two men are dead after a head-on collision in Surprise brought on by a wrong-way driver. DPS officials say the male drivers of both vehicles died at the scene. Troopers responded to a report of a vehicle heading northbound in the southbound lanes. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the incident happened just after 1 a.m. Part of SR303 was closed for several hours but reopened by 7 a.m.

Authorities said the wrong-way driver has been identified as 32-year-old Robert Andrew Cadman. The other driver was identified as 32-year-old Christopher John Ruiz, Jr. Both were from the Phoenix area.
