Driver Kills Bicyclist and Himself in Wrong-Way Accident on Main St. Bridge

The NLRPD says the driver caused a hit and run accident at 5th and Main St. just before this accident. Police say he drove off after that accident, and that's when he hit the bicyclist. 

Bicyclist Killed by Pickup Truck in Wrong-Way Crash Identified

Police have not released any additional information about Ricky, nor have they released the identity of the pickup truck driver who caused the accident in which he was killed as well.

Authorities identified the driver as John Fitzgerald Blanks, 53, and say he was released from the Cummins Unit on Tuesday morning.
