1 killed and two seriously wounded in head-on collision on Highway 395 outside of Johannesburg, California

Second fatality in two days

At approximately 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday there was a head on collision taking the driver of the brand new KIA Optima SX sedan without plates life and a PG&E work vehicle. From the appearance of the scene of the accident the KIA was traveling southbound on Highway 395 and the PG&E truck was traveling northbound. The KIA executed a bad passing move which resulted in the collision. The KIA was traveling southbound and the vehicle laid to rest in the northbound lane and the PG&E truck was overturned on the side of the road headed northbound.
