Dylan Wade Ruiz, 23 dies of after colliding head-on into the Lindsay Creek Bridge railing on north side of state route 299, east of US-101 in Humboldt Co., California

Dylan Wade Ruiz, 23 of the McKinleyville, CA area died after his car sideswiped a guardrail, skidded across all lanes and running head-on into the Lindsay Creek Bridge railing on the north side of state route 299, east of US-101 in Humboldt, California.  Ruiz is alleged to have been under the influence at the time of the crash and may have also been handling a mobile devise. Ruiz was wearing his seatbelt. The crash investigation is ongoing.
