A pedestrian was hit by a car in central Fresno early Friday morning. Authorities say the crash happened just after 6 am on Belmont near Palm. Video at the scene of the crash shows a broken shopping cart with items all over the street.

Police said a woman was pushing a shopping cart on Belmont Avenue around 6 a.m. when she was hit by a car. She was taken to the hospital, but her condition was unknown as of 8 a.m. Friday.
