23-year-old man killed, after his pickup, traveling at high speed, leaves the roadway on Avenue 12 in Madera, and overturns multiple times.

A 23-year-old Fresno man was killed Tuesday morning in a rollover on Avenue 12 in Madera County, said a California Highway Patrol Officer.

The crash was reported about 6:50 a.m. on Avenue 12 west of Highway 41. The pickup was traveling at a high speed when it went off the roadway and rolled a couple times before coming to rest on its roof, police said.

The man, who was driving alone, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The accident remains under investigation.
