Man in jail for fatal drunk driving accident raising money for victim's family

Now, Tyler Thompson is attempting to raise funds for Romo's family as a way to raise awareness about the dangers of driving drunk. A GoFundMe page has been set up by Tyler Thompson's brother, Alexander, and has raised over $1,000 of its $10,000 goal.

A 19-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning when a wrong-way driver suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol collided with his car on the westbound 210 Freeway in Azusa.

Justin Romo, 19, of El Monte, was killed in the collision. A 16-year-old passener sustained moderate injuries and was taken to County-USC Medical Center, according to California Highway Patrol.
