Two Children Die in Ravine Crash

Two children were killed and three others injured Saturday when their car veered into a steep ravine in Azusa. A 32-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman and 13-year-old girl were found injured outside the car. A 12-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy were found dead inside the vehicle, according to police. The cause of the accident remains under investigation and police do not yet know if alcohol played a role. Anyone with information is asked to call Azusa police at 626-812-3200.

The three survivors — a man and woman, both 32, and a 13-year-old girl — were airlifted to a hospital, said Capt. Brian Jordan of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Their names were not released.
