The child was gravely injured in the collision, which occurred about 7:30 a.m. in the 15500 block of West Nordhoff Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement. The woman was listed in serious condition.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 7:35 a.m. to the 15500 block of West Nordhoff, where witnesses said at least one of the vehicles “bounced” into a wall, injuring the child and woman, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Gerardo Chavez Morales of North Hills was struck about 7:35 a.m. Sunday on Nordhoff Street at Langdon Avenue and died at a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, a silver 2016 Honda HRV was westbound on Nordhoff Street, turning left to go south on Langdon Avenue, when it was struck by a gray car, believed to be a four-door Toyota Camry, that was eastbound on Nordhoff Stre
