According to police, the motorist intentionally veered into the northbound lanes to go around other vehicles that were yielding for pedestrians before striking Huntley, who was crossing east on Avalon Boulevard in an unmarked crosswalk. The vehicle then continued traveling southbound on Avalon Boulevard from 83rd Street.
