Desirae Crystal Crittenden, 19, killed and four people injured in two-vehicle crash at Roscoe Boulevard and Lindley Avenue in Northridge, California

A woman died and a car-full of people injured when a Ford Mustang and Honda Civic collided in Northridge early Sunday morning. Police were investigating whether drunken driving was involved in the crash, Bustos said. The crash killed a 19-year-old woman, the only occupant of the Mustang, while one of the four people in the Civic was in serious condition, Los Angeles Police Department detective Bill Bustos said. The two cars collided at about 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and Lindley Avenue. All four of the Civic's occupants were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A young woman killed in a crash caused by a suspected drunk driver has been identified as a 19-year-old Cal State Northridge student. Police say Crittenden was driving a Ford Mustang that was struck by a Honda at a Northridge intersection. KABC-TV reports the Honda's driver, identified as a 21-year-old man, was later arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.  

Police believe the crash happened when one of the drivers ran a red light. Since it happened on Father's Day, it will never be the same." The driver suffered a broken leg and is facing charges including possible DUI. The fatal crash was one of several suspected DUI crashes in the San Fernando Valley over the Father's Day weekend. The crash happened early Sunday when a man's Honda Civic collided with a Ford Mustang at a Northridge intersection, killing the driver of the Mustang, Los Angeles police said. The Mustang's driver was identified as CSUN honor student and sorority member Desirae Crystal Crittenden, 19.
