Hit-and-run driver sought in fiery crash that killed 2 in Palmdale

A Dodge Challenger and a Toyota Camry were traveling westbound on Rancho Vista when the Dodge hit the Toyota from behind, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Anderson said. The Toyota spun out as a result of the collision and hit a nearby light pole.

Two Killed in Fiery Traffic Crash Involving Street Race in Palmdale

A man who said he was the father of the woman who died in the crash identified her to CBS2 as Spechelle Pope, a young mother of four children. He said Pope was a passenger in a ride-hailing vehicle, on her way to get groceries.

Investigation Continuing Into Fatal Street Racing Crash in Palmdale

Authorities Thursday identified a driver who died along with his passenger in a fiery collision when a Dodge Challenger involved in an illegal street race hit their car from behind, causing it to slam into a light pole and burst into flames.
