"To avoid the vehicle that came out of the Vallarta market, [the teen] swerved at a high rate of speed and went into the northbound lanes off Foothill Boulevard and went head on with that silver, Toyota truck," said LAPD Sgt. John Matassa.
Teenager Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash With Pickup Truck in Sylmar
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 11:47 a.m. to 13920 W. Foothill Blvd., where the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. His sedan hit the pickup truck and then struck a pole.
