Asherey Ryan, 23, her unborn son, Alonzo Quintero, 1, Reynold Lester, and two others dead, nine others hurt after speeding car runs red light, hits several vehicles at La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue in Windsor Hills, California

The crash was caused by a Mercedes coupe that was speeding south on La Brea Avenue and ran a red light, slamming into several cars at Slauson Avenue around 1:30 p.m., according to the CHP.

Three adults, including one who was pregnant, and a baby were killed, according to the Highway Patrol. Six or seven cars were part of the crash.

Video from the scene showed the suspect Mercedes traveling at a high rate of speed, running a red light at the intersection and crashing directly into a dark-colored sedan, which in turn struck several other vehicles.

Several people ran through the intersection to help. CHP investigators said some of the victims were thrown from their cars and CBSLA spotted a child's seat in the middle of Slauson Avenue. 

The Mercedes-Benz was driven by a 40-year-old woman who was being treated at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for major injuries, according to the CHP. Her name was not released.

Officials on Friday released the names of two of the victims in a fiery crash that killed six people, including a pregnant woman, after speeding car ran a red light and plowed into cars in a crowded intersection in Windsor Hills.

Nicole Lorraine Linton, 37, was taken into custody at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, the CHP said in a news release.

Linton was at the wheel of a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz that was going as fast as 100 mph down La Brea Avenue when it ran a red light at the intersection with Slauson Avenue about 1:35 p.m. Thursday, hitting several vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Thursday's crash killed Asherey Ryan, her 11-month-old son Alonzo Quintero and her boyfriend, Reynold Lester, Sha'seana Kerr said in a GoFundMe posting.
