Man dies after car hits tree in Salinas
Abraham Jesus Requena was driving a 2015 Lexus IS350 eastbound on East Boronda Road at 1:31 a.m. at what police say appears to be an extremely high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle. The car spun out, hit the curb and struck a tree head-on. Police say the force of the crash caused the engine to be torn from the vehicle.
Dept. of ABC: Salinas restaurant served alcohol to minor killed in crash
The TRACE investigation revealed that 44 year-old restaurant manager, Fernando Hernandez, and 31 year-old waitress, Ashley Cadena, also served alcohol to four other people under the age of 21. They are now the subjects in a criminal investigation by the Monterey County District Attorney’s office.
