In a separate case on Thursday, 40-year-old Marina resident Daniel Wetle was sentenced to eight years and eight months in state prison.

According to Pacioni, Wetle was driving westbound in a rented BMW Sedan when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed head-on into a 2017 Toyota Camry which killed Vazquez and injured his wife.
