Driver Crashes Into Pizza Shop
Police said alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash, which was reported about 4:15 p.m.

Police responded to a call at 4:17 p.m., when the driver of a compact car trying to park accidentally sped forward into the front window of the Pizza D' Oro pizza shop. A male employee complained of leg injuries and was taken to a hospital, said Lt. Matt Sheppard.
A driver drove his vehicle into a pizza parlor on Slater Avenue in Fountain Valley, California Saturday afternoon. The 80-year-old driver crashed into Nick's Pizza D'Oro at 4:15 PM Saturday while attempting to park in front of the parlor. Instead of braking, however, he accelerated into the store front, injuring an employee working inside. The individual inside was sent to the hopsital with minor injuries. Police reports are not clear as to whether the driver was injured. We will have more details on this story as they become available.
