A woman was killed and nine other people, including three children, were injured in separate accidents Thursday morning on the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway near the Alton Parkway exit in Irvine, and a suspected drunk driver was arrested in connection with the initial crash.

Maria Osuna, 25, of National City, was killed in the collision involving at least nine vehicles at about 1:25 a.m. on I-5 near Irvine Spectrum Center.
