3 Killed, 1 Hurt in Southern California Desert Highway Wreck

Cal Fire says the crash occurred before dawn Thursday on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 in the Riverside County community of Desert Center, about 175 miles (281 kilometers) east of Los Angeles.

The 5:47 a.m. crash happened on eastbound Interstate 10 east of Eagle Mountain Road, according to April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department.

Little girl ejected, found wandering near scene of fatal fiery crash where 3 died

Passersby pulled over and they found the girl walking at the scene.

The girl, who's under the age of 5, was airlifted to Riverside County Regional Medical Center. Cal Fire reported she suffered moderate injuries.
