Teen Dies in Freeway Rollover Crash

A teenager died and six others were seriously injured in a freeway rollover crash near Perris Friday. Four people were ejected when their SUV overturned after the driver lost control on the southbound 215 Freeway at around 1:10 p.m. The southbound 215 was partially closed while an investigation took place and wreckage was cleared. Eighteen-year-old Raymond Mendez Jr. was confirmed to have died at the hospital by the Riverside County Coroner's office Friday night. Afterwards all seven passengers were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance for treatment to major injuries.
