Aolani Ramirez-Muniz, 11, Aileen Sotelo, 16, Elizabeth Muniz, 37, and Michal Tostado, 31, killed in collision at East 7th Street and Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto, California

Three people who have not been publicly identified died at the scene, the department said. Three others were taken by ambulance to hospitals — two with minor injuries and one with major injuries.

Sgt. Dawn Blair said the vehicles collided on the expressway, but the fatalities and injuries were confined to two vehicles — a Nissan Armada SUV and a Kia Optima.
