Man critically injured in hit-and-run crash

Investigators are asking the public for help to find a hit-and-run driver that struck and critically injured a pedestrian this weekend. It happened on Sunday, June 21st at 2:08am at the intersection of East 5th Street and Military East. Police say that a vehicle traveling westbound Military East had hit a pedestrian crossing the street and then left the scene. He is currently on life support.  

Suspect in hit-and-run that left young man critically injured turns himself into Benicia police

A suspect in an early-morning hit and run in Benicia that left a pedestrian critically injured on Father's Day turned himself in Saturday, according to police. He was subsequently booked into the Solano County Jail, according to police.

They describe it as an older model Honda or Nissan sedan, gray or silver in color and it is missing the left rear hub cap. If you have any information as to the identity of the owner or driver of this vehicle please call Benicia Police at (707) 745-3412.
