Cassidy faces charges of felony DUI and felony hit-and-run. He was also allegedly driving with a suspended license at the time. He will be arraigned at the Yolo County Superior Court at 11 a.m.
It was about 11:30pm when Kostelny was riding his motorcycle eastward on Chiles road and an oncoming SUV swerved into his lane and struck him, leaving him on the ground with severe injuries. Astoundingly, the driver of the dark blue, four-door Jeep Liberty got out of the car to examine what had happened, but according to Kostelny the man looked very drunk, and in response to his begging for him to call 911 said "I ain't calling s---." before fleeing the scene. Kostelny managed to drag himself to a nearby hotel for help. His arm sustained severe injuries and he must still undergo more surgeries, but he should retain full use of his arm and hand.
