3-year-old girl killed, 10-year-old boy critically injured, airlifted to hospital, 9-year-old girl, Maria Romero, Eleazar Munoz, all injured, taken to hospital, after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 99 near Modesto.

A 3-year-old girl was killed Friday after being ejected from a vehicle in a rollover crash on Highway 99 in Northern California, authorities said. In addition, a 10-year-old boy was airlifted to University of California, Davis Medical Center, and a 9-year-old girl was taken to San Joaquin County General Hospital. Their conditions could not be immediately determined. The crash in Modesto involved a 2000 Isuzu carrying two adults and four children, and a 2012 Toyota containing two adults, California Highway Patrol spokesman James Smith said. The Isuzu overturned several times, and its driver and surviving passengers were all hospitalized. The driver was identified as Maria Romero and her adult passenger as Eleazar Munoz. The cause of the accident has not been determined. The driver of the Toyota was identified as Andre Peterson, and the passenger as Linda Fischer, 52. They were not injured, authorities said.
