Tobias Carlile, 40, of Rio Linda was riding just before 9 p.m. on the eastbound side of Elkhorn Boulevard near 14th Street when he was hit by a vehicle and thrown from his bike, officers said.

No information about the driver, model or make of the vehicle has been released. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the CHP at 916-348-2300.
