Dong Xing Liu, 47, was the latest person to die on the trails when he slipped and fell in the Icehouse Saddle area Saturday, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s website. His death comes only four days after 23-year-old Daniel Nguyen fell about 1,500 feet to his death on Feb. 2 while trying to help a friend who has slipped during a hike on the Devil’s Backbone trail.
