Teenager killed in Alpine crash was Granite Hills High School student, fooball player

Investigators said the Jeep Wrangler was westbound on South Grade Road when it began to drift off the road for unknown reasons, Garrow said. The Jeep's driver, an 18-year-old Crest man whose name was not released, yanked his steering wheel to correct the drift but instead veered across the roadway into the path of an oncoming Lexus SUV.

Vigil Set for Granite Hills HS Senior Killed in Crash

A candlelight vigil is set for 7 p.m. in the quad on campus for William Burton, 17, said Catherine Martin, a spokesperson for the Grossmont Unified High School District.   

Mass held for star athlete killed in crash

A celebration of life ceremony will take place Thursday at Shadow Mountain Church in El Cajon at 1:30 p.m.
