A babysitter who was allegedly drunk when an SUV hit her and two young girls on an El Cajon street may face criminal prosecution over the late-night accident, a police official said Thursday.

The accident was reported just before 11 p.m. on Jamacha Road at Lexington Avenue, a El Cajon police Lt. said. The 22-year-old woman from El Cajon said she was the godmother to the girls, ages 2 and 4-years-old, police said. All three suffered minor injuries. The 59-year-old man who was driving the SUV that struck the trio stopped. He was not injured and not cited, police said. Investigators are preparing a case for the District Attorney recommending felony child endangerment charges be filed against the woman, the lieutenant said.
