"Apparently there was some machinery in the back bed of the truck that launched and caused that damage up there," said Oceanside police Sgt. Ignacio Lopez.
Research tech for San Diego Zoo killed in crash
A driver killed in a series of crashes involving a construction truck Sunday has been identified as 29-year-old Amaranta Kozuch-Seimer, a research technician at the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research.
A man driving a white pickup truck on State Route 78 struck a vehicle traveling westbound. He then got off the freeway and hit another vehicle near Moreno Street, killing its driver, Amaranta Kozuch-Seimer, and causing her to slam into another vehicle. More information posted as it is released.
