The crash happened after a gray Mercedes sedan heading north on Canyon ran a red light and was struck by the U-Haul truck, which was heading east on SR-76.
Two dead after multi-vehicle crash in Oceanside
Investigators determined a gray Mercedes sedan was headed north on Canyon Drive when its driver ran a red light and the car was broadsided by a U-Haul Utility truck headed east on Route 76, Oceanside police said in a news release. The force of the crash propelled both vehicles into a white Kia sedan that was preparing to make a left turn from west Route 76.

Goosen says his stepson, Joshua Gonzalez, 27, had wrapped up a shift for his job at an Oceanside hotel last Friday night, when his co-worker and friend, Emanuel Abelino picked him up in his Mercedes.
