Police say two people are in custody Monday morning after slamming a vehicle filled with drugs into a parked car overnight in Logan Heights.

Police say two people are in custody Monday morning after slamming a vehicle filled with drugs into a parked car overnight in Logan Heights.

The San Diego Police Department said the wreck occurred at 10:45 p.m. Sunday on the 3800 block of National Avenue.

According to officers, the woman was driving on Logan Avenue when she lost control of her gray Lexus and hit a parked SUV.

Witnesses said that the driver of the SUV came out to help and saw the woman swallowing something and her male passenger hiding things in the car.

When officers arrived, they said they found narcotics and prescription pill bottles inside the vehicle.

The woman was transported to an area hospital with a minor knee injury. She was arrested and charged with drug possession.

Officers said driving under the influence charges against her are pending.

Her passenger was arrested at the scene and faces drug possession charges.
