Two women who were walking southbound on Streseman Street in University City were hit by a truck near Governor Drive Friday.

San Diego police were looking Friday for a hit-and-run driver who struck two women on a morning walk in University City.
San Diego police were looking Friday for a hit-and-run driver who struck two women on a morning walk in University City. The women were walking along Stresemann Street, near Governor Drive, about 6 a.m. when they passed a parked older-model red pickup, police said. Moments later, the truck struck them from behind and the driver kept going. Paramedics took the women to two hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known. Police said the pickup might be a Toyota and may have damage to the front.
