One bus passenger injured, taken to hospital, after a MTS transit bus collides with a car at the intersection of 10th and E Streets in San Diego.

One person was taken to a hospital early Wednesday after a bus collided with a sedan.

A MTS bus crashed into a sedan on 10th and E Streets in downtown San Diego around 12:15 a.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.

A passenger from the bus was taken to a nearby hospital for moderate injuries. The passengers in the sedan were not injured, police said.

Police said the accident was prompted by one of the drivers running a red light.
