Pedestrian struck and killed by a train near the intersection of Noell Street and Kurtz Street in San Diego, California

A man died after he was hit by a northbound Coaster train in San Diego's Mission Hills neighborhood Wednesday night, officials said. The collision occurred at 7:55 p.m. near the intersection of Noell and Kurtz streets, said sheriff's Sgt. Jason King of the sheriff's Transit Enforcement Unit.
