Man Struck, Killed in Spring Valley

A driver will not be cited for a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Spring Valley, California Highway Patrol investigators said. The victim was crossing a street against the light after midnight Tuesday when he was struck by a vehicle and killed, CHP officers said. The driver of a 2003 Honda did not see the man walking across the south side of the intersection at Jamacha Boulevard and Grand Avenue, police said. CHP officials say no other vehicles were involved and alcohol and or drugs were not a factor. The driver was not injured and not cited.
