One person killed in Antioch highway crash

Fransen said it was not clear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. The incident is under investigation, and the CHP is asking witnesses to contact its Contra Costa County office at (925) 646-4980.
One man died Saturday evening when his truck crashed and overturned on a Highway 4 offramp in Antioch. The driver had turned onto the Laurel Road offramp from eastbound Highway 4 at about 5:30 p.m. when he apparently lost control of his vehicle, a Ford F-350 pickup. The truck rolled several times and the driver, who appeared not to have been wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. The man, who was in his 40s, was declared dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released. The driver was the only occupant of the truck and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
