Police received conflicting statements about what caused the crash and are not sure as yet if it was due to a mechanical defect or operator error, he said.
Six people suffer minor injuries after a 75-year-old woman crashed her Mercedes-Benz sedan in Los Altos Trader Joe’s grocery store. Police were called around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday to the store located at 2310 Homestead Road in Los Altos, east of the Foothill Expressway. The woman driving the Mercedes-Benz sedan in the parking lot, drove into the front doors of the grocery store. The sedan hit a customer, outside the grocery store and four people inside. The driver and the other 5 injured people were treated at the hospital, none life-threatening. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
