Man crashes car into detached garage at 1300 block of Edgewood Road in Redwood City, California

A Pacifica man, driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe traveling eastbound in the 1300 block of Edgewood Road crossed lanes and crashed into a detached garage just before 10 a.m. There was a family present in the home, but they were not near the garage and remained unharmed. The driver of the Tahoe was transported to a hospital as a precaution but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. Drugs and alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the crash but police are investigating whether the driver was texting while driving.
