Pedestrian struck, killed in accident that closed San Francisco's Stockton Tunnel

Emergency crews responded to the area and declared the pedestrian, described as an Asian female, deceased at the scene.

FEMALE PEDESTRIAN FATALLY STRUCK IN SAN FRANCISCO

A yellow Toyota SUV hit the pedestrian. The driver, 40-year-old Calixto Dilinila, was arrested for suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and failing to yield to a pedestrian. The victim, an elderly woman, died at the scene.

The driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a female pedestrian in the vicinity of the Stockton Tunnel in San Francisco's Chinatown district this morning has been arrested for vehicular manslaughter.The cause of the collision remains under investigation and the identities of the victim and the driver have not been released.
