FIVE HOSPITALIZED AFTER CAR CRASHES INTO PEDESTRIANS IN SAN MATEO

According to a witness, three disabled students, who attend a program at Hillsdale High School, and their student teacher were struck by the car during their morning walk.

The student teacher, a 28-year-old Belmont woman, suffered head trauma and broken bones, while the students, boys ages 15, 16, and 18, sustained scrapes, cuts and other minor injures. All were expected to survive, Decker said.
A vehicle left the roadway and hit four pedestrians, and then a light pole. All four pedestrians and the driver were taken to a local hospital. No one was killed, but all were injured. No identities released yet.
