CHP motorcycle officer injured in crash on Interstate 680

A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was wounded in a three-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 680 in San Ramon on Thursday night, the CHP said.
At about 5:20pm, a crash involving a CHP officer on a motorcycle, a minivan, and an unknown third vehicle was reported. The officer fell from his vehicle and sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries, requiring traffic to be stopped so that a helicopter could airlift him to a hospital.
