Victims of Willits crash identified

Capt. Greg Van Patten said Friday the driver of a white, 1998 Toyota Camry was identified as 62-year-old John Witter of Sebastopol, and the occupants of the silver, 2010 Toyota Prius were identified as Carmen H. Tribble, 75, and James Tribble, 89, both of Olympia, Wash.
The accident occurred about 12:40 p.m. Thursday on Highway 101 south of Hollands Lane near Willits, when a 75-year-old Sebastopol man headed south in a Toyota Camry crossed into oncoming traffic for an unknown reason and slammed into a northbound 2010 Toyota Prius driven by an 89-year-old woman. The drivers of both vehicles, as well as a 62-year-old passenger in the Prius, all died at the scene, the CHP said. Another vehicle driven by Stephen Delatorre, 21, of Kelseyville, hit the rear of the Prius after it came to rest. Delatorre was not injured.
