Jacksonville sheriff's officer hurt in stop-light crash in Arlington

Police said a woman in a large pickup truck didn’t see in time that a patrol car was stopped about 4:30 p.m. at Monument and Derringer roads and slammed into it.
A pickup truck collided with the rear of a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office patrol car Wednesday afternoon, October 15. The incident occured around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Derringer and Monument roads when the female driver of the truck didn't see that the patrol car, driven by Sgt. Chris Brown, was stopped. Following the impact, which crumpled the trunk, the patrol car then hit a white van crossing the intersection. Brown and the van driver were taken to the hospital to treat injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the truck stayed on the scene.
