Dear Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. If you would like me to add your grandson's name to our report, please send it to me in a comment. I wish there was more I could do other than to keep your grandson's accident report as up-to-date and complete as possible. Ingrid Taylor, Managing Editor, Accident Data Center

He was IT2 Marco Maldonado, US Navy. nickname POLO. He would have been 26 on August 4th. Had been in the Navy 7 years and was going to re-enlist. His mother, 10 year old brother, aunts and grandparents would like to know what really happened. We feel there was foul play and would like his case investigated futher. please contact police if you have any information.

Thank you Linda, I have added Marco's name. Again, I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope you can find the information you are looking for. Regards, Ingrid, Accident Data Center

I am Marco's mother and we are having a hard time understanding what has happened to my son. We flew to Jacksonville as soon as we found out he was killed and heard so many different stories as to what happened. People he knew tell us one thing and investigators are told a different story by these same people. How can we accept there was no foul play when we are told by someone he knows that his phone dialed her at that time and she heard him yelling at somebody why are you following me and investigators dismiss this and want to close this case. PLEASE if you know anything contact Inspector Gregory. @ 904 630-2178 with traffic homicide. We would like closure and peace of mind that my sons death was not caused by someone else. Thank you
