Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said the woman was jaywalking along State Road 7 and Northwest 41st Street about 5:30 a.m. when she was struck.

According to investigators, Anderson was trying to cross State Road 7 from east to west when she crossed paths with the oncoming car. She was not at a crosswalk, authorities said. Anderson was flown to Broward Health Medical Center and pronounced dead at 7:36 a.m., the sheriff's office said.
